Kitchen and Bathroom Exhaust Venting

A very common mistake made is installing a bathroom fan or kitchen exhaust without this properly ventilating it outdoors.
Many times these components are vented directly into the attic, pumping the attic full of moisture every time you turn on the fan in your bathroom or hood over your stove. This moisture will lead to wood damage, possibly mold related issues and of course cost you a lot of money to repair. So either have your attic inspected now or if you are planning on having a new roof installed, make sure that all exhausts are properly vented to the exterior.
The roof on this home was only 5 years old, but as you can see the bathroom exhaust was not installed professionally and frost build up was causing damages. You should have seen the rest of the attic!
